It's Coming Along!

Our bathroom remodel is moving right along. We had a few setbacks this weekend but we worked through them and made some great progress.

 

This what how things were looking Thursday.

Note to self:  After installing a brand new tub, cover it with padding and blankets!!

 Tub #2 has plenty of protection from any possible accidents.

 Friday and Saturday included a many coats of joint compound and lots of sanding, some tetris like framing on the shower walls, and replacing the tub. The last piece of Durock went up Sunday along with 2 coats of paint on the walls. Monday we patched up a few things, touched up the paint and installed the floor. 

 Monday continued with installing the medicine cabinet, vanity, toilet, some baseboards and the towel rack.

 By the end of our long weekend we were beat! This 80 year old house has been fighting us the whole way, but I'd say so far we're winning! We still have a lot to do, but with just the two of us,  I am very proud of what we've accomplished. Now to pick out tile for the shower!
